VEGETARIAN COMPLAINS ABOUT NEIGHBOR’S BBQ
An Australian woman who is a vegan made headlines when she took her neighbors to court over the smell of meat and fish from their barbecue. Cilla Carden claimed the cooking meat odors from her neighbors’ barbecues had destroyed her quality of life. Her complaint was tossed out of court earlier this year, and she filed an appeal. Although the appeal was also rejected in July, she has vowed to keep fighting. But now, more than 3,000 people are planning to attend a get-even cookout outside her home called “Community BBQ for Cilla Carden.” The barbecue is scheduled for October 19. The event description reads, “Don’t let Cilla destroy a good old Aussie tradition, join us for a community BBQ, and help Cilla Carden get some pork on her fork.”
* Nah, she’s just gonna have some hate on her plate.
* Sort of a meat and greet, as it were.
* What’s her beef? Beef. And chicken. And fish. The list goes on.
* They’re going to be grilling outside her house, but she’s just going to get steamed.
