VALENTINE’S DAY IS NOW BORING
A new study by Groupon of 2,000 Americans in relationships found 80 percent of couples will still be celebrating Valentine’s Day this year, but the majority (53 percent) feel they do the same exact thing year after year. From the survey:
– Almost half of Americans say they can predict the gift their partner will get them for Valentine’s Day.
– 80 percent of those surveyed revealed that they’d love to receive an experience as a gift on Valentine’s Day – viewing it as something they could share with their partner.
– The top experiences that survey participants said they’d like to try – which has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Groupon, which took the survey – included: attending a concert, getting locked in an escape room, touring a cultural attraction and taking a cooking class.
– 68 percent of people just want to have sex on Valentine’s Day.
* Sex would be nice, but now I’m intrigued by that escape room thing.
* Actually, I got locked in an escape room once, but after three days, my parents had to let me out.
* “Honey, guess what I got you for Valentine’s Day? A cooking class!”
* At least Valentine’s Day still isn’t as boring as Arbor Day.
