UBER DRIVER PULLS GUN ON PASSENGER WHO FELT SICK

In Bradenton, Florida, an Uber driver pulled a handgun on a passenger last Friday evening after the passenger mentioned that he felt like he was going to be sick. Patrick McDonald, 67, was driving Shane Fabry and other passengers home around 8 p.m. when Fabry asked McDonald to pull the car over because he felt sick. After McDonald stopped the car – a $75,000 Lexus – Fabry, 27, said that he was “feeling better”. McDonald didn’t want to take any chances and told the victim that he needed to get out the car. McDonald attempted to pull Fabry out of the car, and then pulled a gun and ordered him out. McDonald was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, a felony, and misdemeanor battery.
* Now the Uber lawyers are going to be sick.
* McDonald forgot the magic word. He forgot to say, “Please.”
* No, the magic words are, “I was feeling threatened and frightened for my life so I pulled the gun out to defend myself.”
* At least he didn’t shoot at the sidewalk while telling the guy to dance.
* Next time, just offer the passenger some Tums.
* Oh, wait – there isn’t going to be a next time.
* Sorry, but wanting to protect your $75,000 Lexus is not going to sway the jury.
* Wait – a guy with a $75,000 Lexus needs to drive people around for extra money?
* How bad was HIS auto loan financing?
* Relax, Shane is fine and he’s looking forward to getting the Lexus in the settlement.
* A cranky older driver in Florida. What are the odds?
