TURTLE INTERN WANTED

A luxury hotel in the Maldives is looking to hire an intern to look after turtles. The Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu needs an intern to work for two weeks in August. Although the job isn’t paid, you’d essentially get a free vacation to the Maldives. The successful candidate will work alongside leading specialist turtle veterinary surgeons, Dr Claire Petros, and have responsibilities such as feeding the turtles, cleaning tanks, observing surgeries and medical procedures, attending rescue missions to collect turtles in need and assisting with the release of rehabilitated turtles back into the ocean. You can apply for the position at the Coco Collection website. Applicants must be over 18 years old with an interest in a related field, and must submit a two- to three-minute video and a 500-word cover letter explaining why they think they would be a good fit for the role.
* First thing, you have to able to answer the question, “Where are the Maldives?” (The Maldives is a tropical nation, south of India in the Indian Ocean. It is composed of more than 1,000 coral islands. It’s known for its beaches, blue lagoons and extensive reefs. And now, its turtles.)
* You don’t even have to wake up early to feed them. It’s not like they’re going anywhere far.
* If you get the job, you have to scream, “Cowabunga!”. You just have to.
* This message brought to you by the Maldives Board of Tourism, which just saved about $2 million on advertising.
