TOY BLOCKS SPELL OUT DIRTY WORD
A mother was appalled when her son starting calling out the s— word as he was learning his ABCs. When Roseanne Almanzar heard her child calling out the profanity, she checked out the toy he was using and was both amused and shocked to discover the problem. The plastic connecting blocks had letters on each side. For example, on one block was the letter A, and on the reverse side of that block was the letter S. The B block had the letter H on the back side, and so forth. So when you connected “A-B-C-D” together, on the back side it spelled out S-H-I-Double hockey sticks.
* And what word do you suppose she said when she saw what the blocks said?
* Best toy ever, after the cursing Furbys.
* Uh oh. When people say they’re appalled that usually means they’re about to sue.
* Let me guess: These toy blocks have inflicted grave emotional distress on you and your child.
* You can almost hear the lawyers talking through them.
* Plastic connecting blocks? Great, so not only does the kid cuss now, but he has to deal with the fact that his parents are cheapskates.
* Whatever happened to learning the alphabet the old-fashioned way: By watching Sesame Street on television?
