TOP TEN STATES WHERE YOU’RE MOST LIKELY TO BE KILLED BY AN ANIMAL
Outdoor recreation site Outforia has analyzed CDC data on deadly animal encounters from 1999 to 2019, and come up with the States With the Most and Least Fatal Animal Attacks Per Year.
The Most Fatal Attacks By Animals:
1. Texas: 520 deaths from 1999 to 2019
2. California: 299 deaths during that time period
3. Florida: 247
4. North Carolina: 180
5. Tennessee: 170
6. Georgia: 161
7. Ohio: 161
8. Pennsylvania: 148
9. Michigan: 138
10. New York: 124 deaths by animal from 1999 to 2019
* Texas’ numbers are even higher today, now that the unvaccinated cattle are giving everyone COVID.
* Of course, when I say cattle, I mean “cows.” (pause) Or do I???
* In Florida, do they count the animatronic animals at Disney?
* Uh… is it really smart for an outdoor recreation website to be talking about this?
The Least Fatal Attacks By Animals:
10. Alaska: 23 deaths by animals from 1999 to 2019
9. South Dakota: 22
8. Maine: 20
7. Hawaii: 18
6. Wyoming: 17
5. Vermont: 17
4. New Hampshire: 10
3. Rhode Island: 0
2. North Dakota: 0
1. Delaware: 0
* You’d be lucky to see a rabid squirrel in Delaware.
The Deadliest Animals:
1. Deer, which cause 1.3 million traffic accidents per year, 200 of which prove fatal
2. Bees and wasps, which kill 100 people annually
3. Dogs, which kill 30 per year
4. Cows, which kill 25 each year
The rest: Snakes, spiders, bears, alligators, crocodiles and sharks
* Cows kill 25 people a year, but that number would be a lot higher if they included cholesterol.
* Man, those murder hornets are just not making an effort to live up to the hype.
* Sharks are really gonna be ticked off when they find out they were left off the lists.
