TONY’S CHOCOLONELY CHOCOLATE CIRCUS

Developers in Amsterdam are planning on building a combination chocolate factory-theme park. Plans for Tony’s Chocolonely Chocolate Circus, in the town of Zaandam, were announced last week. Tony’s Chocolonely is a Dutch-based brand that takes pride in lifting up cocoa bean farmers in Africa. The company says that once inside the complex, visitors will learn all about chocolate, including unfair treatment of the cocoa farmers by much of the industry. Also, there’s going to be a roller coaster.
* Wait – what was that about unfair treatment of the farmers?
* That’s like going to Harry Potter World and being bombarded with messages about the loss of owl habitat.
* Or riding the log flume at Dollywood past scenes depicting the decline of the coal industry.
* Tony’s Chocolonely Chocolate Circus. Their slogan is “The Most Despondent Place On Earth”.
* Visit the gift shop for loads of different kinds of chocolate. Oh, and zit cream.
* It’ll make you long for the barrel of laughs you had visiting the Anne Frank house.
