THE QUICKEST DRIVE-THRUS

QSR Magazine, the magazine about fast food restaurants, has reported the average length of time for drive-thru service, from entry to exit. They analyzed over 300 locations of the various chains. Here is what they found. These numbers are from 2021:
– Taco Bell has the fastest drive-thru, at around 268 seconds, or 4 minutes 28 seconds.
– KFC (4 mins 22 sec)
– Carl’s Jr (4 mins 46 sec)
– Dunkin’ (4 mins 55 sec)
– McDonald’s (5 mins 11 sec)
– Wendy’s (5 mins 41 sec)
– Arby’s (5 mins 47 sec)
– Burger King (5 mins 59 sec)
– Starbucks (6 mins 49 sec)
– The slowest is Chik-fil-A, at 9 minutes 1 second
* What, is Chick-fil-A plucking the chickens?
* What’s up with Dunkin’? “I’d like a donut, please.” “OK, that’ll be four minutes.”
* And here Taco Bell is the fastest, yet they have the most prep: taco shell, beef, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, wrapper. That’s the kind of speed you want when you’re changing a baby diaper.
* Wait – any correlation between rushing your order and getting it wrong?
* Your results may vary, depending on whether the guy in front of you is in a pickup truck getting lunch for his four-person crew.
* Arby’s would be faster if they didn’t take the time to run everything under the air conditioner before they hand it to you.
