THE COW KISSING CHALLENGE

There’s a new internet challenge happening in Austria: The Cow Kissing Challenge. A Swiss app called Castl launched the #KuhKussChallenge last Wednesday, encouraging users in Switzerland and other German-speaking countries to kiss cows – “with or without tongues” – to raise money for charity. A YouTube video shows people kissing cows – on the nose, on the lips, even on the tongue. The Austrian government is discouraging the practice. Austrian Agriculture Minister Elisabeth Koestinger branded the challenge a “dangerous nuisance” in a statement, noting that “pastures and meadows are not petting zoos – actions like these could have serious consequences.”
