THE COLORS OF 2019
Pantone announced its 2019 color of the year will be coral. “Living Coral,” to be precise, which is pink with golden undertones. Pantone says the color “energizes and enlivens with a softer edge. Sociable and spirited, Living Coral welcomes and encourages lighthearted activity.” (* And, it’s great as a dessert topping!) Last year’s color, as you remember, was Ultraviolet. Living Coral joins the other 2019 colors of the year unveiled so far: Benjamin Moore’s Metropolitan Gray, Sherwin-Williams’ dusky red Cavern Clay and Behr’s muted Blueprint.
* Aw, man, I just redid my entire wardrobe in Ultraviolet.
* What a bunch of Spectrum Nazis.
* The best part: Pink with golden undertones goes with everything.
* This is the annual announcement also known as, “Hey, Frank, what color paint do we got a lot of left over in the back?”
* Can’t we get a consensus? Can we just mix all the colors together and get a nice brown for the TV room?
