THE CHEAPEST DAY TO BUY A CHRISTMAS TREE
According to a study from payments company Square and the National Christmas Tree Association, Christmas Eve is the cheapest time to buy a Christmas tree with an average price of just $47. The most expensive time to buy a tree was Cyber Monday when prices are an average of $81. The study’s results were based on Square sales data collected from Christmas tree farmers and sellers across the United States.
* Yeah, Christmas Eve. That’s when they bring out the really good trees, too.
* I’d bet you could get one even cheaper on December 26th.
* Buy one on Christmas Eve, drive it home on the roof of your car, and spend the evening decorating a bare pine stalk.
* I think they need to reframe the story: Christmas Eve is the best day to buy kindling for your firepit.
