THE CANADIAN POST CARD INITIATIVE

A new initiative by Canada Postal Service will see every residential address in the country – about 13.5 million homes – receive a free postcard. The idea is to send the postcard to a loved one. You can send it to anyone they want within Canada, at no cost. The postcards are part of a campaign called “Write Here, Write Now,” to encourage Canadians to write heartfelt letters to family and friends. Doug Ettinger, head of Canada Post said in a statement: “Canada Post wants everyone to stay safe, but also stay in touch with the people who matter to them.”
* When you care enough to send a free postcard that someone else gave you.
* Don’t they know there’s an app for this?
* “Write Here, Write Now.” Nice slogan. Their first idea was “Let’s Kill Lots More Trees.”
* America had a similar program last year. It encouraged people to reach out and call their local election board to ask, “Did you get my ballot or did Trump’s Postmaster lose it in the mail?”
* Postcards From the Eh-dge.
