THE ATTRACTIVENESS OF A WOMAN’S ARCHED BACK
According to a study from the University of Minho in Portugal, a woman’s arched back may be a sexual magnet. A research team found that when a woman thrusts out her hips and creates a curve in the lower back an observer’s gaze is held fixed. You see the pose in women on a red carpet. You also see it on the Mudflap girl. Researchers note that a curve in the backs of animals – including rats, guinea pigs, sheep, cats, ferrets and primates – signals a readiness to mate. A similar signal could be emitted in humans. The study, which involved 82 male and female undergrads, six computer-generated 3D models of a woman’s upper body were generated. The curve of the back varied in each model. The subjects looked at models from the front, side and rear and rated how attractive they found each posture. Eye-tracking technology monitored the participants’ gaze. The results: The more arched a back is, the more appealing it becomes to either sex. This, say the researchers, also might explain why women wearing high heel shoes increases womens’ attractiveness.
* It took these guys how long to figure this out?
* I kind of had a feeling that Mudflap girl was a bit of a tramp.
* Maybe this is why dad always wants to go see the Cirque du Soleil show when it comes to town.
* Why aren’t there more contortionists on “America’s Got Talent”?
* Are we even allowed to talk about this now? After these last couple of weeks on Planet Weinstein, I’m afraid to broach the subject.
