TESTIMONY: WOMAN ADMITTED SABOTAGING BOYFRIEND'S KAYAK
A New York State Police investigator says the woman accused of fatally sabotaging her fiancé’s kayak on the Hudson River told an investigator she removed a plug on his kayak and pushed his paddle away (*not a euphemism). Authorities say Angelika Graswald removed the drain plug from Vincent Viafore’s kayak in April 2015 and pushed a floating paddle away from him after his kayak capsized. A police officer testified Monday that Graswald appeared calm and emotionless after she was rescued. Despite the alleged confession, Graswald has denied murder charges and claims that Viafore died accidentally after having had a few beers and falling into the cold water.
* Her story’s as leaky as the kayak.
* Looks like the boyfriend won’t be the only one up a creek without a paddle.
* She pulled the plug on his kayak – and on his life.
* I don’t know. How did this case resolve when they did it on “Rizzoli and Isles”?
* Let me guess: It was an argument about the pre-nup.
* What a close call. To think he almost married this woman.
* “You’re drowning, honey? Let me toss you a cement brick.”
* If she was too dumb to put the plug back after it was all over, she deserves what happens.
* Wait, so she confessed but she doesn’t think it was murder? Oh wow, she thinks she was entitled to kill the poor bastard.
* Sounds like she has a plug loose somewhere, too.
* Maybe they can convert the wedding invitations into subpoenas for the trial.
