TEENS FAVORITE FAST FOOD: CHICK-FIL-A

For the fourth consecutive time, Chick-fil-A came out as teens’ favorite restaurant chain in Piper Jaffrey’s 39th semi-annual “Taking Stock With Teens” survey, which looks at Generation Z’s spending habits and brand loyalties. According to the findings — which were determined by analyzing self-reported data from 9,500 subjects with an average age of 15 — food “continues to be the No. 1 priority for teens in terms of wallet share,” with 23 percent saying the majority of their money goes to food. Today’s teens’ favorite restaurant chains are:
1. Chick-fil-A
2. Starbucks
3. Chipotle
4. McDonald’s
5. Dunkin’
* Better luck next year, Long John Silver’s.
* It’s always sad when these surveys make the little Wendy’s girl cry.
* Shouldn’t it be “this is where teens are spending YOUR money?”

The survey also found teens’ favorite snack food:
1. Lay’s potato chips
2. Goldfish crackers
3. Cheez-Its
4. Doritos
5. Cheetos
* But not separately – all mixed together.
* So, a typical American diet, then.
* Teens’ money should be going to rent, if you ask me. Slackers.
