TEEN IN FAKE SUICIDE VEST ASKS GIRL TO PROM

In Vancouver, Washington, La Center High School senior Ibrahim Ahmad thought it would be a great idea to strap fake explosives to his body in a stunt to ask a date to the prom. The 18-year-old wore a vest filled with paper-tube props made to look like explosives. At lunchtime, Ahmad stood on the cafeteria stage and held a sign that said he was “the bomb” and inviting his would-be date to prom. He has been suspended from school for five days. The suspension will prevent him from attending the dance Saturday. However, Ahmad says the girl accepted, so they will likely go to dinner on prom night.
