TEACHER TRADES LOLLIPOPS FOR NECK RUBS
In Port St. Lucie, Florida, a teacher is back in the classroom after she allegedly traded lollipops for massages from her third graders. Parent Crystal Leon complained that her third-grader at Renaissance Charter School was given lollipops by a female teacher to give her massages on more than one occasion. At one point, the girl was pulled out of class to give the teacher a neck rub. “She came into my daughter’s classroom and asked her teacher, ‘Hey, I need her for five minutes,’” Leon said. “Then she brought my daughter into an empty classroom, and said her students gave her a headache and needed a massage. My daughter gave her a neck and back massage and she sent her back to class.” Leon contacted the charter school and their corporate headquarters to report the teacher. They told her the teacher was suspended for two days during the investigation and then the investigation was over.
* Gee, it’s been at least three weeks since a teacher did something you could barely believe.
* So much for charter schools being a cut above.
* The teacher gets massages and the parents get rubbed the wrong way.
* I’m not trying to be sexist but if this were a guy he’d be sitting in jail right now.
* Now compare this with the kid who was kicked out of school for chewing his PopTart into the shape of a gun. What the hell, America?
* Third graders should be using their hands for finger-painting – not giving massages.
* This is taking the teacher’s pet concept to a whole other level.
* I mean the teacher’s pet is actually petting her.
* PHONE TOPIC: My Teacher No-No. Did you ever have a teacher do something that now, in retrospect, was wrong?
