TEACHER-STUDENT NO SEX BILL GETS HUGE BACKLASH

An Alabama legislator proposed a bill that would require teachers to receive an hour of training a year on how to not have sexual relations and other inappropriate interactions with students. The bill by Republican Senator Cam Ward would require training on sexual or romantic contact, social media interactions, interactions outside the classroom and the use of corporal punishment and physical restraints in classrooms. However, Ward received a huge backlash on social media from educators about the bill and later tweeted he would not move it forward. “I’ve never tried to make my teachers look bad. My child in public school & support my teachers,” Ward tweeted.
* Especially the hot ones, he added.
* Said teachers, “Yay! Open season!”
* Maybe in Alabama, PTA stands for “Put that away!”
