TEACHER SHOWS CLASS "50 SHADES OF GREY"

A Hampshire County, West Virginia, high school teacher is in trouble after letting students pick a movie to show in class as a reward for their good performance. The movie the kids picked: “Fifty Shades of Grey”. The unnamed, clueless teacher didn’t do a background check on the movie, just rented it and popped it in. Unfortunately for the students, I mean, fortunately, a staff member walked by and recognized the movie 10 minutes after it started and shut it down. Hampshire County school policy prohibits students from watching movies of any kind in the classroom.
* The teacher will be punished. But, of course, that’s just what she wants to have happen.
* They told the teacher it was a science film about the surface of the moon.
* “That guy in a suit on the front of the DVD is a geologist.”
* “A really rich geologist who wears $1200 suits and has a penthouse in Seattle.”
* Wait, they can’t watch any movies? So it’s the Hampshire County school district: Home of the Hard-Asses.
* That means even if the teacher showed “The Lion King” or “The Little Mermaid” there’d be hell to pay.
* How about dancing at the prom? Can they dance at the prom?
* Hey, you go to school to get an education, and “50 Shades of Grey” is an education.
* I just imagine the students trying to keep a straight face: “Quiet everyone. Play it cool. The teacher actually went for it. Can you believe it?”
