SWISS AIR FORCE AERIAL TEAM PERFORMS OVER WRONG FESTIVAL

The Patrouille Suisse – the Swiss Air Force version of America’s Blue Angels – was supposed to put on a demonstration at a festival honoring the centenary of the Swiss aviation pioneer Oskar Bider. Instead, they put on their show over the wrong event – a yodeling festival – four miles away. According to a military spokesman, the F-5E Tiger II aircraft are not equipped with GPS technology and have to use actual maps, which led to the mix-up.
* Yo-da-lay-hee-oops.
* On top of everything else, the jets made it impossible to hear the yodeling.
* It’s like they say… you’ve seen one Alp, you’ve seen ’em all.
* If anyone wants to invade Switzerland, now looks like a pretty good time.
* Swiss aviation pioneer Oskar Bider. He’s the one who finally figured out which end to put the propeller on.
* Maybe they should just stick to making chocolate.
