SUSPECT JUMPS INTO LAKE, COPS GRAB CANOE, PEDALBOAT
In Nova Scotia, Halifax Regional Police were chasing two armed robbery suspects in Dartmouth on Friday. One was quickly apprehended, but the second led them on a chase. The man jumped into Little Albro Lake in an attempt to evade officers. The resourceful officers grabbed a pedal boat, a paddleboard and a canoe to follow the man in the water. The suspect eventually started to go underwater and was rescued by the officers in their various water recreational vehicles.
* Afterwards, the cops said that while the chase was successful, the pedalboat was not nearly as fun as it looked.
* A canoe, a pedalboat and a paddleboard. Jeeze, it’s the entire Canadian Navy!
* Fortunately, Canadian police always have a canoe in the trunk of their cruisers.
* The suspect was charged with armed robbery, eluding police and, of course, the full hour for the cost of the pedalboat.
* Always go swimming with a buddy. Or, at the least, an accomplice.
