SURVEY FROM STEAK COMPANY SAYS WE’RE GETTING TIRED OF TURKEY AT THANKSGIVING
A new survey shows that 65 percent of Americans would like an alternative to turkey on the table this year at Thanksgiving. Before you start screaming “blasphemy”, the survey was conducted by the Omaha Steaks company. The poll of 2,000 Americans claims that ham would be the most popular alternate Thanksgiving choice (60 percent), followed by chicken (41 percent), and roast beef (37 percent).
* Yeah, and how about instead of Thanksgiving football, the networks put on a good lacrosse match?
* The 2,000 Americans they asked – were they all in cattle country?
* Isn’t this wonderful? You can actually see Omaha Steaks sowing the seeds of doubt in everyone’s mind: “Gee, so nobody likes turkey, huh? That’s what I heard on the radio.”
* If only, at the first Thanksgiving, the Indians had brought Omaha Steaks instead of corn. Things would be a lot different.
