SURVEY: AMERICA’S WINE HABITS
A poll of 2,000 Americans from the Idaho Wine Commission has found:
– Nearly seven in 10 respondents said quarantine has driven them to become more knowledgeable about wine.
– 63% say they choose wine based on what they’re watching on TV, not what they’re eating.
– Respondents said they opt for a white wine when watching a sitcom (43%), but go for a red wine when sitting down to watch a reality show (42%) or a drama (39%).
* Or moonshine if you’re watching Fox News.
* 52% said they choose their wine based on if the box will fit on a shelf in the fridge.
* Gin & tonic is popular if you’re watching Steven Universe, or PAW Patrol, or anything as long as the kids are distracted by the TV.
* Every night I watch Lester Holt on what I like to call The NBC Nightly Merlot.
* I find this poll has aromas of shallowness and worthlessness, it’s thin-bodied and lacking in character, with final notes of uselessness and you’ve just wasted ten minutes of my life.
