SURFER PUTS BEACHED SHARK BACK INTO THE OCEAN
An Australian surfer has been praised after he picked up a struggling shark with his bare hands and carried it back out into the ocean. Paul Myles saw the shark stranded on the shore at Eastern View on Victoria’s Great Ocean Road and decided to try his best to push it back into deeper water with his surfboard. That didn’t work, so he picked up the flailing four-foot shark – he thinks it was a blue shark – and carried it back out to the ocean. Myles said he wanted to help the shark because he is “a bit of a softie, really. I just thought I’d give it a chance.”
* And then the shark turned around and spoke to him, saying, “Because of your kindness, I will grant you three wishes. Well, two wishes, because your first wish is going to be for me not to eat you.”
* Who’s he being praised by? Other sharks?
* Mr. Myles obviously doesn’t understand the whole predator/prey thing on the food chain.
* While he was dealing with the shark, someone stole his surfboard, so there you go.
* Then the jellyfish attacked.
