SUBSTITUTE TEACHER SHOWS TV SHOW "NAKED AND AFRAID" TO SECOND GRADERS

A substitute teacher in Naples, Florida, was banned from the classroom after she showed second-grade students the nude reality television show “Naked and Afraid”, where a naked man and woman are dropped into the jungle with nothing but a six-man film crew. The naked parts are usually blurred, except for the butts. The video was shown at the Golden Gate Elementary school. Hours after the substitute teacher, who was not identified, showed “Naked and Afraid” during a computer class, she was told to go home. She is prohibited from working in all schools in the district. It is not known why the teacher showed the reality television show to the children.
* Maybe because “Real Housewives of Atlanta” isn’t out on DVD yet.
* At least it wasn’t “Breaking Bad.”
* Anybody else having a hard time seeing the connection with a computer class?
* Maybe “Once upon a time, people had no computers, no technology, and no science to help them understand the world. They were … ‘Naked and Afraid’!”
* From “Naked and Afraid” to “Disgraced and Unemployed.”
* Yeah, call me old-fashioned but I think second grade is a little young for nudity.
* Gee, and it’s been weeks since a teacher did something we could scarcely believe.
* I have an idea: Why not turn the TV off at school and try teaching them stuff?
* You know who else feels naked and afraid: The school district’s legal team.
* PHONE TOPIC: Did you ever say “Just screw it” at work? What did you do that was bad?
