STRANGERS MEET, GET MARRIED ON CHRISTMAS DAY

Two strangers married on Christmas Day after meeting for the first time at an airport before boarding a plane to Las Vegas. Sarah Elliott, 34, is a nanny who lives in Tunbridge, Kent. Paul Edwards, 36, from Chichester, works in broadcasting (* Uh-oh.) They met online on a dating app called Bumble and instantly hit it off. They talked on the phone on Saturday night for two-and-a-half hours and then again on Sunday morning for an hour-and-a -half, and again on Sunday evening for three hours. One of them said, “We get on so well – maybe we should get married,” and they both thought: “How amazing would it be if we got married on our first date?” The pair decided to meet for the first time at Gatwick airport on Christmas Eve, in their wedding clothes. Paul surprised Sarah with a bunch of flowers and an engagement ring. They flew 11 hours to Las Vegas, Nevada, and got married at the Bellagio. Paul has two daughters aged 13 and 15 from a previous relationship. Sarah has been married before, but it only lasted for six months.
* Marrying a guy you right after you meet him for the first time at an airport. It’s like the same way Trump picks his cabinet officials.
