STARBUCKS XMAS DRINKS LOADED WITH SUGAR

A study commissioned by British nonprofit Action on Sugar has found that there is an extraordinary amount of sugar in Starbucks’ holiday-themed drinks:
– Starbucks’ 20-ounce venti-sized Signature Caramel Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and oat milk contains the equivalent of 23 teaspoons of sugar and 783 calories.
– The venti gingerbread latte with oat milk contains the equivalent of 14 teaspoons of sugar and 523 calories.
According to the American Heart Association, women shouldn’t consume more than 6 teaspoon of added sugar per day and men should have no more than 9 teaspoons of sugar.
* I think I speak for all Americans when I say, “So?”
* Go with one of their lighter everyday choices, like the Java Chip Frappuccino with only 17 teaspoons of sugar.
* It’s a wonder you can even suck these up through a straw.
* Who doesn’t love the feeling of simultaneous coffee jitters AND sugar crash?
* The real crime here is – and I think you’ll all agree – the goat milk.
