SOMEONE LOST STUDENTS SAT TESTS
About 100 students in Loudoun County, Virginia, who took the SAT earlier this month have to take it again, because their tests are missing. The College Board, the company that gives the SATs, says they haven’t received them. Students are not happy. Caroline Quinilty studied more than 100 hours over two months at Loudoun Test Prep before taking the test on May 2. She says, “I think of all the time and effort I spent studying and preparing for this test and the fact that I wasn’t notified by them. I had to be notified by kids in the hallway discussing it.”
* Plus, they began forgetting all the material the minute the test was over.
* If she thinks this is bad, wait’ll she finds out what the kids in the hallway were saying about her nose.
* This is a teachable moment for them: Life isn’t fair and sometimes you get screwed.
* Relax. If this is the worst thing that ever happens to you, you’ve led a charmed life.
* Plus, they get a built-in excuse if they tank it.
* Just assume you screwed up the first one and you’re lucky enough to get a do-over.
