SOBE EXPLAINS "HELP ME" MESSAGES ON BOTTLECAPS
People across the US have been finding messages for help under the caps of their SoBe beverages. The message reads, “HELP ME TRAPPED IN SOBE FACTORY.” Concerned customers have been posting images of the caps to SoBe’s Facebook page. The messages are not real, says the company. SoBe printed them on its caps, thinking the call for help would give customers “a little smile or pause for thought.” “Hi there, we’re sorry that our cap slogan caused you concern, that was certainly not our intention,” the company wrote Facebook page. “These sayings are intended to give our consumers a little smile or pause for thought, not offense, while they enjoy their favorite SoBe beverage.”
* Har har, just a little joke, really, nothing to see here.
* What the message should say is “Help, trapped in minimum wage job at SoBe factory.”
* I’m going to go on the SoBe Facebook page and write, “Help! I’m caught paying $3.50 for a bottle of colored water!”
* What happens when someone at a SoBe factory really does need help? “Oh, they’re just screwing around again. Don’t even worry about it.”
* I tell you who should be calling for help: their marketing department.
* It was supposed to give their customers a little smile? How sick do they think we are?
* It was also supposed to give us pause for thought? How about cause for concern?
* It must be a twist off cap, because it’s definitely twisted.
