SHOOTING RANGE TO OFFER BOOZE
Daytona Beach city commissioners have given approval to an indoor shooting range that will include a restaurant that sells alcoholic beverages. Commissioners raised safety concerns over the mix of alcohol and guns on the same property, and then – of course – voted the measure through on Wednesday night. Developer Ron Perkinson says he plans to turn the vacant building into an upscale restaurant, not a bar. But he says he needs alcohol sales to make the restaurant profitable. He told commissioners he’ll keep a watch list of customers who may cause trouble and will call police when necessary.
* Like, after a drunk guy shoots somebody?
* He needs alcohol sales to make the restaurant profitable, and to pay the sky-high accident insurance premiums.
* Will the restaurant be of high caliber?
* The drinks are to die for.
* A shooting range with booze. What a marvelous idea.
* Hold on. I’m rethinking. What an absolutely ridiculous idea.
* Careful. If you get tipsy and shoot your mouth off the other guy might shoot your mouth off.
* So you can have a shot and then take a shot.
* Just don’t get the two confused.
* You might have someone shoot the bartender and then try to drink a bullet.
