SEX ADDICTION NOW AN OFFICIAL MENTAL ILLNESS

Sex addiction has been classified as a mental illness for the first time. The World Health Organization’s International Classification of Diseases has added it to the list, just a few weeks after adding gaming addiction. Compulsive sex behavior is estimated to affect between three and six percent of adults in the U.S. Dr. Valerie Voon (* va-va-va-Voon!), from Britain’s Royal College of Psychiatrists, says, “It is a behavior that tends to be hidden as it’s shameful and often sex addicts don’t come forward.”
