SEATMATE PUSHES GUY OFF CHAIRLIFT

Investigators have interviewed a skier who may have pushed a snowboarder off a chairlift at Aspen Highlands ski area in Colorado. Seth Beckton says he was riding a lift with a skier and another man last Sunday morning when he made an innocuous comment that apparently offended the skier. Beckton says the skier then pushed him off the lift, causing him to fall 20 to 25 feet. Beckton says he landed in a pile of powder and was uninjured. Authorities say they identified a possible suspect based on surveillance video at the bottom of the mountain.
* I thought Bode Miller had settled down?
* Look, sometimes you just have to teach a guy some manners.
* Aspen? Wow – even rich people can’t get along.
* Guys: You’re skiing in Aspen. You’re living large, better than 99% of the planet. And still you have an attitude?
* An innocuous comment? What was it then, because that doesn’t sound like snow boarder talk.
* So what’s snow boarder talk? You just go with the surfer language and throw in a mountain.
* I believe the snow boarder’s response was, “Bro, that’s a pretty gnarly thing to do, especially when I was so stoked about my run.”
* Don’t worry: The snowboarder got over it by going back to the lodge and playing video games the rest of the day.
* We’re never going to win the Winter Olympics acting like this.
