SCOTLAND NAMES ITS SNOWPLOWS

It has recently become known on social media that Scotland names the machines in its snow plow fleet. They also put out a map of the active plows so drivers who go to Traffic Scotland’s Trunk Road Gritter Tracker can see which plows are working in which area. Here are some of the names Scotland has given its plows, which, in Scotland, are called “gritters,” for the cinders and salt that they spread on the icy roads.
– Gritney Spears
– Meltin’ John
– Grit Expectations
– Gritter Bug
– Penelope Gritstop
– True Gritter
– Gritty Gritty Bang Bang
– Sir Salter Scott
– Snowbegone Kenobi
– Han Snow-Lo
– Luke Snowalker
– Darth Spreader
– For Your Ice Only
– License to Chill
– Ready Spready Go
– Snowkemon Go
– Sprinklebell
– Spready Mercury
– I Want To Break Freeze
– ‘Snow Bother
* This proves what I’ve always said: There’s just nothing to do in Scotland.
* Well, these are more creative than naming the Loch Ness Monster “Nessie”.
* They had to start naming the plows. They already named all of the sheep.
* Okay, Scotland – cute. Now try something hard, like naming zambonis.
