SCHOOL ASKS MOTHERS ABOUT KID'S BIRTH: VAGINAL OR CAESARIAN?

Cara Paiuk, the mother of an incoming kindergartner was taken aback when she went to fill out the forms enrolling her son into Aiken Elementary School in West Hartford, Connecticut. The question that jumped out: Under ‘Birth History”, the form asked, “Type of birth: Vaginal__ Cesarean__.” Says Paiuk, “It’s none of their business. This is kindergarten, and they want to know about my vagina! I don’t understand — there’s no correlation between the two for me.” Paiuk managed to persuade officials to revise their school forms.
* They just want to know if they should send the kid out of the classroom throught he door or out the window. (an old Steven Wright joke)
* The next question was: “Conception: Is there a video we can watch?”
* Do you think one administrator said to another, “They’re onto us.”?
* Cara has a point. When she’s right, she’s right.
* Next the authorities want to tell you what kind of birth they want it to be.
* I know how this works: the more questions they ask, the more they hope to catch you in a lie and use it to have any lawsuits dismissed.
* “Your honor, we have found an instance where the applicant clearly lied on the form. He was not hired on a Tuesday afternoon. The forms weren’t process ’til Wednesday morning. Therefore his family’s wrongful death case must be tossed out.”
