SAUDI PRINCESS LOSES $900,000 IN JEWELRY TO THIEVES

A Saudi princess had more than $900,000 in jewelry stolen from her suite at the five-star Ritz Paris hotel. The unidentified member of the royal family did not have her jewels in a safe and there was no sign of forced entry when the heist took place last Friday afternoon. Back in January, a gang of armed robbers used hatchets to smash cases in the hotel’s jewelry shop, making off with valuables worth at least $4 million.
* Fortunately, that was just her Friday jewelry. She still had her Saturday and Sunday jewelry in the suitcase.
* Good job from the hotel for stepping up their security after the January heist.
* Does the five-star Ritz Paris at least lose a star for this?
* No forced entry? Sounds like the cleaning lady cleaned up.
* Call Inspector Clouseau! The Phantom is back!
