RESTAURANT GIVES SOLO DINER A GOLDFISH TO EAT WITH

A traveler eating alone at a restaurant in Mumbai, India, said the staff went to great lengths to ensure he would not be lonely. Prakash Mallya said he landed in Mumbai and went into the hotel restaurant for a quick meal. He was dining alone, and so the staff placed a goldfish in a bowl on his table as a dining companion. Mr. Mallya called the gesture nice and thoughtful and something that’s never happened in all his travels.
* It was nice and thoughtful except for the part where everybody else was thinking, “Man, that is pathetic.”
* I’m sure the goldfish was pretty nervous when they walked it to the table of that guy eating.
* I guess it’s better than putting a cardboard cutout of a lady in the chair across from him.
* Be honest – if you went to India and they put a goldfish in a bowl on your table, you’d think they were offering you complimentary soup.
* It’s like the lady with a Chihuahua who went into a Korean restaurant for lunch and told the waiter, “I would like my dog to eat.”
