RENT-A-POOL
Hot? Wish you had a pool? Now you can, because there’s Swimply Rent-a-Pool. Swimply is an Airbnb-like service that lets property owners rent out their empty pools by the hour to people who want to swim. Or float. Or soak. (* Or shoot a porno.) Hourly rates are higher than a day pass at your local public pool might cost but, for example, in Los Angeles area pools can be rented from $25 to $150 an hour. Swimply operates in 20 states across the U.S. The website allows you to quickly search for pools by location and availability. (* and privacy, for shooting those pornos.) Swimply also makes it easy to create an account and list a pool.
* Liability insurance? What’s liability insurance?
* And if you have a trampoline, even better!
* It’s like letting complete strangers get into your bathtub with you. Cool!
* Yeah, I’d take $150 to let somebody pee in my pool.
* “Oh, you mean the $150 didn’t include access to the house?”
