REAL-LIFE "NIGHTCRAWLER" TAKES VIDEO OF TEEN CAR-CRASH VICTIMS

Did you see “Nightcrawler”? It’s a 2014 movie about a freelance videographer who’ll do anything to get grisly video to sell to local TV. Well, in northeast Ohio, 41-year-old Paul Pelton witnessed a one-vehicle car crash that killed one teenager and critically injured another. What did he do? He walked over to the car, opened the door, and recorded the scene with his cellphone. Police said Pelton can be heard on the video calling the teens “idiots.” The accident happened in July and Pelton has now pleaded guilty to vehicle trespass and disorderly conduct, for opening the car door of the wrecked vehicle to continue recording while others tried to help the two teens. His plea deal included the dismissal of felony bribery and witness intimidation charges – Pelton was accused of trying to persuade the teenage driver to tell police he had permission to open the car door.
* I don’t know about Nightcrawler but my skin is crawling.
* He’s not just taking the pictures … he’s trash-talking the victims at the same time? You can’t get much sleazier than that.
* Thanks, I was getting too sentimental about Christmas but this story changed all that.
* Let’s see … who could play him in the movie? How about Christopher Walken?
* The one freelance videographer who doesn’t shoot porno and this happens.
