RATS BREAK INTO ATM, EAT MONEY
Police in Tinkusia, India, on Thursday said rats had eaten through more than a million rupees of banknotes after breaking into a cash machine. Locals complained that the ATM had stopped dispensing cash. Bank officials checked the machine and found a dead rat and shredded banknotes when it was opened. The rats munched through an estimated 1.2 million rupees – about $18,000 – worth of hard currency.
* Hard, delicious currency.
* Hard, but not too hard to chew.
* One clue was when the ATM started dispensing little turds.
* The rats put India’s money where their mouths were.
* The rat was dead? So – money is just empty calories, then? Sad.
