PSYCHIC OCTOPUS REWARDED FOR CORRECT PREDICTIONS BY BEING EATEN
A ‘psychic’ octopus which correctly guessed the outcome of Japan’s matches at the World Cup has been cooked and sold at a fish market. Rabiot, a giant Pacific octopus, was put into a pool with three containers that had the Japanese flag, their opponent, and one that said ‘draw’. Whichever container he crawled into was the prediction. He was correct in predicting that Japan would beat Colombia in their opening match, draw with Senegal and lose to Poland. But then, Rabiot’s owner decided he was worth more as somebody’s dinner at the fish market.
* A similar thing happened to Miss Cleo.
* Rabiot should have been suspicious when one of the prediction containers was a stewpot.
* Still, he lasted longer than the Soccer-Predicting Japanese Wagyu Beef Cow.
