PRICE TO VISIT QUEEN ELIZABETH’S GRAVE: $30
Brits are complaining over the price the royal family is charging for mourners to visit Queen Elizabeth II’s grave – almost $30 per person. The Queen was laid to rest in – or rather under – the King George VI Memorial Chapel, located on the grounds of Windsor Castle about an hour’s drive from London. The castle is usually open to tourists. But if you just want to visit the gravesite, you have to pay the full tour price: £26.50 ($29.50) for an adult ticket. It’s two bucks more on Saturdays. People are slamming the royals for overcharging and money-grabbing.
* Really? Have these people not been paying attention for the past, oh, 1200 years of British royalty?
* The good news: They have a Fast Pass so you can skip the line.
* Feel free to fill out a complaint card, located in the gift shop.
* Speaking of which, if you pay to see the grave, you’ll get 10% off the Queen Elizabeth II bobble-head.
* Look on the bright side: the more you pay to see the Queen’s grave, the less you have to spend on British food.
