PILOTS FALL ASLEEP, MISS LANDING
Two airline pilots are believed to have fallen asleep and missed their landing during a flight from Sudan to Ethiopia last Monday. The incident took place on board an Ethiopian Airlines jet flying from Khartoum to Addis Ababa. The aircraft was cruising at 37,000 feet on autopilot when it failed to descend at Addis Ababa Airport. Air traffic control was apparently unable to reach the crew despite making several attempts at contact. An alarm was triggered when the plane overshot the runway and continued along the route. The aircraft then began to descend and maneuver for another approach, landing safely around 25 minutes later. Some aviation experts are suggesting that it may have been the result of pilot exhaustion.
* While sex experts suggest it may have been something along the lines of the Mile High Club.
* What’s weird is, both pilots said, “I dreamed I was flying.”
* No more hookahs in the flight cabin!
* How about seats that give you an electric shock every five minutes?
* Mandatory coffee breaks featuring Starbucks’ strongest coffee – Venti Blonde Roast equal to 5 cups of coffee – given intravenously.
* Their first clue that the pilots may have been asleep was when passengers trying to take a nap weren’t woken up by dumb pilot announcements every five minutes.
