PEOPLE WHO EAT CHILI PEPPERS LIVE LONGER

A new study has found that people who eat lots of chili peppers may have a “significantly reduced risk of dying from cardiovascular disease or cancer.” The findings will be presented this week at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions 2020. Researchers screened 4,729 studies from five leading global health databases, looking at the health and dietary records of more than 570,000 individuals in the United States, Italy, China and Iran, comparing the outcomes of those who consumed chilies to those who rarely or never ate them. Compared to those who “rarely” or “never” ate chilies, the analysis found people who did eat chilies had:
– a 26 per cent relative reduction in cardiovascular mortality
– a 23 per cent relative reduction in cancer mortality
– a 25 per cent relative reduction in all-cause mortality
* 570,000 people in the United States, Italy, China and Iran? Chilies? They do know Mexico is right next door, yes?
* Sure, chilies make you live longer, but your anus will be long gone.
* It’ll seem a LOT longer if there isn’t a cold drink nearby.
* You know a chili pepper is hot enough when you feel your hair sweating.
* Remember that there’s a big health difference between eating lots of chilies, and eating a lot AT Chili’s.
