PEOPLE ARE IGNORANT ABOUT THEIR OWN BODY

A new survey of 2,000 Americans commissioned by USANA, a company that sells vitamins, revealed that people are generally ignorant about their bodies.
– 35% of Americans don’t know their own blood type.
– 75% of respondents could not identify the correct number of blood groups as four.
– Two-thirds did not know how many valves the human heart has (the correct answer is four).
– Two-thirds could not identify the average body temperature as 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit.
– 30% couldn’t tell the difference between a liver and kidney.
– A third also didn’t know the human body has two kidneys. 20 percent believed the body had three or more kidneys.
* Was no one paying ANY attention during all those years of “House M.D.”?
* One thing everybody knows about their body: It weighs too much.
