PAWN SHOP OWNER RECOGNIZES GOODS AS HIS OWN

Two people were arrested last week after they tried to pawn items at a Clarksville, Tennessee, pawn shop that they had stolen from the home of the owner of the pawn shop. Jeremy Watts, 30, and Jessica Heady, 24, visited the Cash America Pawn shop with several items to pawn – two PlayStation video game systems, controllers, video games and DVDs. The property was valued at more than $1,000. The pawn shop owner, Edward Dial, recognized the items and went home. There, he noticed that someone had broken into his residence and taken several items. He called the cops. Watts and Heady were charged with aggravated burglary.
* Ah, the circle of life, my friend.
* They wanted to pawn, but they got powned.
* Hello? This is why we have eBay.
* I would have used a homeowner’s insurance claim to get an updated Playstation, but whatever.
* We’ve all learned a valuable lesson here today. Just steal cash.
* Sounds like a pretty small town.
* No, there’s around 150,000 people there so I guess the thieves have a right to feel unlucky.
* Cash America Pawn? If I were president I’d try to outlaw using America’s name like this.
* Do you know how many TV shows there are with “American” in the name? Around a dozen.
* And that includes “The Americans” where the Russian spies are using the name ironically.
