AIRLINE PASSENGER TRIES TO OPEN DOOR, THINKING IT’S THE BATHROOM
An Indian passenger sparked panic on a GoAir flight from New Delhi to Patna on Saturday when he tried to open a plane door, apparently mistaking it for the bathroom. The man was pulling at the aircraft’s rear exit when another passenger raised the alarm. (* I bet he did.) When asked what he was doing he said needed to use the bathroom urgently. He told officials this was his first time on an airplane. (* And possibly his last, too!) The passenger was handed over to the authorities after the plane arrived safely at its destination. A spokesperson for the airline added that the man wouldn’t have succeeded in opening the door anyway due to air pressure in the cabin.
* That’s what they always say, just because no one’s ever done it… yet.
* So the giant word “EXIT” on the door and the little window with sky on the other side didn’t clue him in?
* See what happens when you don’t listen to the flight attendants telling you where the exits are?
* I’ll bet when the other passengers saw him trying to open the door, a lot of THEM suddenly needed to use the bathroom urgently.
* I guess in India, the custom is you just open the back door and go. Who knew India had hillbillies?
