PARENTS STILL READING THEIR TEENS BEDTIME STORIES
A study of 2,000 moms and dads by children’s book publisher Wonderbly reveals one in 10 parents continue with the bedtime story routine until their youngster reaches 13 or even older. A third of those parents say it’s the most quality time they get with them all day.
– The average parent will spend around 15 minutes each evening reading books to their youngster.
– Three out of four parents wish they could never stop telling their youngsters stories.
* “OK, kids, this is the fairy tale of the president who believed he won the election.”
* “Horror story tonight, kids – I’m gonna read the NEWSPAPER!”
* What if your kid’s not all that intellectual? Can you work on coloring books together?
* We used to do that with our kids, until the oldest handed me ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ and said, “Here, read this to us.”
