PARAGUAY’S PIRANHA PROBLEM
Four bathers have been killed and over 20 people injured in piranha attacks in Paraguay. A 22-year-old man died after he was badly bitten by the predators as he swam in the Paraguay river on January 2nd. A 49-year-old man was also killed in the Paraguay river, in the town of Puerto Rosario, his body found with bite wounds after he was reported missing. Then two more people were killed in the Tebicuary river, in Misiones, their bodies found with piranha bites. There have also been many other reports of swimmers being bitten on the beach in Itapua.
* You know — I bet that was the piranhas.
* So swimming in Paraguay … really bites.
* If only there were some way to not be eaten by piranha.
* Well, it’s a nice change from the alligator stories. Or maybe not.
* Two words, folks: Swimming Pools. I bet the Pool Masters on Discovery could do three seasons of shows down there.
