PANDEMIC DATING LINGO
Has the pandemic really added new terminology to the world of dating? From The Huffington Post, here are New Dating Terms We Have COVID-19 To Thank For:
– Antibody boy (or girl): A person that brags about having COVID-19 antibodies on a dating app, hoping it will lead to more matches.
– Corona-zoned: When someone doesn’t want to come to your place to hook up out of fear of catching or spreading the virus, you’ve been corona-zoned.
– Covidivorce: A marriage separation where the stress of lockdown and the pandemic are at least partially to blame.
– COVID-worthy: What you have to decide before you consider an in-person date: Is this person Covid-worthy?
– Ex text: An out-of-nowhere text you send an ex because you’re craving normalcy from the past.
– Pandemic pickup lines: “Let me take you out before coronavirus does.” Or, “You can’t spell quarantine without U and I.”
– Quarantine and chill: When you hunker down with a romantic prospect partly out of boredom.
– Sexual distancing: When you nobly go on a hookup pause so as not to spread the coronavirus.
– Turbo relationship: A relationship that’s more intense and sped-up than usual, because you’ve been stuck together so much.
– Virtual date: A date held on FaceTime, Zoom, or some similar video chat program.
– Zumped: When you get dumped on Zoom.

* What’s it called when you meet someone, and then you see them without a mask on for the first time and it’s really not good?
* We wouldn’t have to worry about any of this is they’d just hurry up with the sex robots.
