ODD BUT TRUE ICE CREAM FLAVORS
Many ice cream shops come up with unusual flavors. Here are some of them, and where they are available:
– Ice Cream City, located at the Tokyo, Japan, indoor amusement park Namja Town offers flavors called Raw Horse Flesh, Cow Tongue, Salt, Octopus, and Squid.
– Ohio-based Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams has Pickled Mango (a cream cheese-based ice cream with a slightly spicy mango sauce made of white balsamic vinegar, white pepper, allspice, and clove) and also Goat Cheese With Red Cherries.
– Max & Mina’s in Queens, New York have offered Corn on the Cob, Horseradish, Garlic, Pizza, Lox, and Jalapeño.
– New York City’s OddFellows has a Foie Gras – goose liver – flavored ice cream.
– Portland, Oregon-based Salt & Straw, has flavors like Strawberry Honey Balsamic, Strawberry With Cracked Pepper and Pear With Blue Cheese.
– The Ice Cream Store in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware offers Devil’s Breath Carolina Reaper Pepper Ice Cream — a bright red vanilla ice cream mixed with cinnamon and a Carolina Reaper pepper mash — and also the classic Ghost Pepper Ice Cream.
– San Francisco’s Humphry Slocombe makes a signature Secret Breakfast ice cream, made with bourbon and Corn Flakes. (* If I had bourbon and corn flakes for breakfast, I’d keep it a secret too!)
– New York City’s Il Laboratorio del Gelato serves Fig & Fresh Brown Turkey gelato.
– Ben & Bill’s Chocolate Emporium in Bar Harbor, Maine, makes Lobster Ice Cream.
– Big Gay Ice Cream in New York City makes a Cheetos cone, where vanilla and cheese ice cream is dipped in Cheetos dust.

* Travel to Tokyo for some Raw Horse Flesh ice cream? Well, it IS tempting …
* Some ice cream shops just have too much time on their hands.
